On the road again – Geological Society Careers Fair
“Yesterday I took meteorites to the Geol Soc Careers Fair for university students at the BGS in Keyworth. There were many other universities there, but none had meteorites! As a result, I had lots of interested geologists (both students and people from the other stalls) coming over for a look, as geologists are essentially magpies! Once I explained what they were and what their significance was for our understanding of solar system formation processes, many people took our Open University literature and will hopefully will consider coming to the OU to do a planetary based PhD. Thanks meteorites!”
